The town of Mospyne under the Donetsk City Council’s jurisdiction was under artillery fire

The town of Mospyne under the Donetsk City Council’s jurisdiction was under artillery fire in the early hours of August 19. Residential and social buildings were damaged or destroyed, the City Council reported on Tuesday.

A number of residential buildings were flattened in Mospyne.

“The shelling started a fire at school No. 151, and it burned down,” the report said.

Tensions were high in Donetsk, the authorities said.

“The city was perturbed already in the evening of August 18. An artillery round hit an apartment on the seventh floor at 6 Politbiytsiv Street. A woman who was standing near a house entrance was injured. Shells destroyed a number of residential buildings in the Kuibyshevsky district,” it said.

Heavy gun fire was heard in the city center at around 1000 on August 19.

Yet public utility services and public transportation are working in a routine fashion.
