Kyiv City Council renamed the street and returned three historical names of the seven capital’s streets. This decision voted 80 deputies at the meeting of Cabinet on Thursday, 13 November.

“This street names (which are renamed – Ed.) That are relevant to the era of totalitarianism,” – said the Kyiv City Council Secretary Alexey Reznikov. He also said that in a draft decision on the renaming of the street Instytutska Street Heroes hundreds of Heaven, and it will be presented for approval by the city council at the next plenary session.

In addition, the city council renamed Frunze area, turning her historical name – Peter and Paul.
